PDM USA has physically verified fitment of the TSK3 Sleeve and Bearing Kit on a Subaru application originally equipped with the OEM 30502AA160 clutch release bearing.

The OEM 30502AA160 bearing itself is not compatible with the PDM sleeve system. The PDM TSK3 uses its own sleeve-specific clutch release bearing, supplied as part of the complete kit.

A complete PDM TSK3 Sleeve and Bearing Kit was installed and physically verified for proper fit and operation on this application.

Therefore, vehicles originally requiring the Subaru OEM 30502AA160 bearing may use the complete PDM TSK3 Kit when equipped with the applicable push-type clutch system.

⚠️ IMPORTANT: The TSK3 is not universal and is not compatible with Subaru 6-speed pull-type clutch systems.

Every complete PDM TSK3 Transmission Sleeve Kit includes:

⚠️ IMPORTANT: The supplied retaining clip is part of the PDM sleeve system and must be installed with the replacement bearing. Failure to use the correct clip can result in improper bearing retention and premature wear.

⚙️ How the PDM Sleeve System Works

Certain Subaru manual transmissions use an aluminum clutch release bearing guide surface. Over time, the clutch release bearing can wear, score, or damage this surface, preventing the bearing from traveling smoothly during clutch engagement and release.

The PDM TSK3 restores this critical bearing surface by installing a precision-machined stainless steel sleeve over the transmission's original aluminum guide surface, providing a new, durable surface for the clutch release bearing to operate on.

Because the sleeve increases the outside diameter of the original guide, the factory-size clutch release bearing can no longer be used. Every complete TSK3 therefore includes a matched oversized PDM TSK3-B clutch release bearing designed specifically for the sleeved guide.

The TSK3 can be installed to repair an already worn or damaged guide surface, or preventatively during clutch replacement or transmission service before significant wear occurs.

Once installed, the stainless steel sleeve is intended to remain in place and normally does not need to be replaced during future clutch service. When another clutch replacement is required, the PDM TSK3-B replacement bearing is available separately.
