πŸ’ͺ What’s in the Kit?

  • CNC-machined stainless steel sleeve

  • Oversized clutch release bearing (sleeve-specific)

  • Bearing clip

  • Hardware

  • High-temp specialty grease

  • Detailed installation instructions

Β

πŸ”§ Symptoms Fixed by the TSK2 Kit

  • Clutch chatter or vibration

  • Excessive noise during clutch operation

  • Sticky or stiff clutch pedal

  • Rough or inconsistent pedal feel

  • Premature wear or failure of clutch components

  • Surface wear on the aluminum transmission case extension

⚠️ The Problem with OEM Design

Even Subaru's updated 5-speed transmissions still use aluminum case extensions that are prone to wear:

  • Creates vibration and clutch engagement noise

  • Leads to throw-out bearing misalignment

  • Damages surrounding transmission components

βœ… The TSK2 Kit Advantage

  • πŸ›‘οΈ Replaces the weak aluminum bearing surface with a hardened stainless steel sleeve

  • ❌ Prevents future wear and costly repairs

  • πŸ’ͺ Installs in minutes, no machining required

  • ⏳ Extends the life of the clutch system and transmission

  • ♻️ Fully reversible for future service

Clutch Release Bearing Installation Notice

We have encountered instances of release bearing damage caused by improper installation, specifically cracking or failure of the plastic base. This is a known issue and is often related to installation technique.

With pull-style clutch systems, the release bearing must be installed onto the clutch fork first. After the engine and transmission are mated, the bearing will properly engage and snap into the pressure plate when the clutch is actuated.

A common point of confusion occurs during removal. When the transmission is separated, the release bearing typically remains attached to the pressure plate due to its locking mechanism. This can lead to the incorrect assumption that the bearing should be installed onto the pressure plate prior to reassembly.

This is incorrect.

If the release bearing is pre-installed onto the pressure plate before reinstalling the transmission, it may prevent proper alignment with the clutch fork. This misalignment can place excessive stress on the bearing, often resulting in damage to the plastic base.

To prevent damage:

  • Always install the release bearing onto the clutch fork first
  • Do not pre-install the bearing into the pressure plate
  • Allow the bearing to engage naturally during clutch operation after reassembly

Failure to follow proper installation procedures may result in premature bearing failure.
